How to get there
The geographical location of the prefecture makes it easily accessible from both Athens and Thessaloniki. The distance from Athens is 324 kilometers and the journey by car takes about 4 hours, while from Thessaloniki it is 210 kilometers and the journey by road takes about 2 hours, following the National Highway in both cases. Alternatively, you can reach the city by bus or train, via the long-distance line. At the same time, there are international charter flights from foreign countries directly to the airports of Nea Aghialos and Skiathos.
